The client had recently purchased this house and as summer was on the way they wanted to adapt the outdoor space of the garden they had acquired.
The garden had been left for a little while and left to grow, a lot of essential cutting back was required along with the removal of some trees and shrubs that brought more space and light into the garden.
Once the work of the selected trees and shrubs were removed it was time to concentrate on the hard landscaping of this garden.
CREATING THE GARDEN
Charles was asked to meet the client and undertake the works of their brief, to create this much loved but unattended garden back into a more welcoming family garden. Every garden serves a different purpose for each and every one of us.
With the removal of Trees and shrubs this garden felt and looked a lot bigger and you could see the shape of the garden too.
The current paving at the property was not desirable and had out lived its stay, the lower terrace of the patio was compromised of a hard wood which was neither in a good or bad state but was extremely slippery when wet.
The landscaping required a better design to some steps to the house as the previous steps were far too steep and narrow.
THE FINAL LANDSCAPE DESIGN
After viewing samples of different paving the choice was a mint Indian Sandstone, extra steps have been built to accommodate the levels.
The removal of the deck was replaced with the paving and a new wall was built to end the steps by the patio.
A further ongoing maintenance continues on this garden to keep the garden in good shape. Benton landscapes can look after every aspect of your garden and grounds maintenance.
